The chalet sleeps up to six people, and is located in the mountain village of Le Regine. There are restaurants in both the village and others in Abetone, but we think that the best option, after a day exploring the mountain, is to use the wood burning fire in chalet, just add locally sourced food!

Getting to the apartment

The Italian mountain escape is in the Region of Tuscany, on the Apennine mountain range. Here you can find travel information on the regular cheap flights that depart from the UK.

From UK to PISA

The following are a list of cheap flight companies that operate from the UK to Pisa Airport, please check their website for flight times ( makes quick work of this).

Upon arrival: You will need to hire a car – allow a budget of £20-25 a day for a small car - and you can then the drive up to the mountains via the beautiful town of Lucca. It should not take more than 70 minutes. On the way you’ll go past the very impressive Devils Bridge.

Pisa to Abetone


Meridiana and British Airways both fly from London Gatwick to Florence city airport, but unles you have a specific reason for doing so, it's easier to take one of the cheap flight options above.

Upon arrival: You should hire a car and then take the motorway to Pistoia and then the road up to the mountains of Abetone. The drive should take no more than 90 minutes.
